Why Wisdom?
If you are wise, you will seek wisdom! Wisdom is critical if we are to enjoy lives of peace. It is written that God Himself created the earth with wisdom, so why would we do anything important without seeking it ourselves?
Anyone can gain wisdom by studying the Bible and putting it into practice. Jesus said that to do so is like building your house upon a rock that storms and floods cannot displace or collapse.
Do you feel like a fool, an outcast, under-educated, or disadvantaged? If so, God promises to give wisdom to anyone who asks for it in faith. As a believer in Jesus (See Why Born Again?), you have unrestricted access to God’s entire library!
The Apostle Paul prayed for his churches that God would give them a “spirit of wisdom,” something that would “enlighten their eyes of understanding,” reveal to them what they can look forward to, and show them the extent of God’s riches and power on their behalf. Bottom line: it’s big. Very big! He has no problem sharing the truth with you, and will never fault you for asking.
That “spirit of wisdom” comes via none other than the Holy Spirit, Who is God speaking to our hearts. If we will learn to listen and respond to Him, we will be unstoppable. Success is assured, as God is not into failure. In our limited minds and senses, we cannot possibly know all of the laws of cause and effect that will cross us in any given day, but God does. Learn to follow the smartest Person in every room. You will look like a genius and and live in constant victory!
